Ben Franklin Confirmed To Speak At Angel Capital Summit!
The Hon. Benjamin Franklin -- inventor, public official and businessman -- will speak at the Angel Capital Summit scheduled for Tuesday, November 17 at the Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
Drawn from retirement, former-Ambassador Franklin will conduct a Town Hall meeting, at which he will discuss the qualities that made him "healthy, wealthy," and wise, and, along the way, relate how these qualities are important to entrepreneurship today -- and bring a unique perspective drawn from his own experience as an entrepreneur and investor.
Ambassador Franklin has issued a personal video invitation to the event:
"I am most pleased to see 40 first-rate companies have been selected from nearly 200 applicants to present at the third annual Angel Capital Summit," said Franklin. "This will include 36 for-profit companies and 4 non-profit social ventures."
Last year the Angel Capital Summit drew over 400 investors, entrepreneurs and advisors, and this year will attract nearly 700 participants. The expanded event will convene at the Colorado Convention Center, known as one of the most technologically advanced conference centers in the country.
"According to the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Money Tree report, Colorado is in the top tier of venture investment markets in the U.S.," said Kevin Johansen, board member of the Rockies Venture Club, which is the Summit's prime sponsor, and co-founder of investment software company The Business Catapult. "It is a privilege for us to have Amb. Franklin to participate in our event."
The Angel Capital Summit will showcase not only a strong contingent of ventures from Colorado, but also growth companies from New York, Virginia, Georgia, Michigan, Montana, Utah, California and South Africa.
